So you’re hittin’ the road or taking to the open sky. No matter the reason or destination, some of the things you bring along could determine if you have smooth sailing and make the best of your trip by being prepared for any circumstance.
No matter where you’re headed, there are a few things you don’t want to forget besides underwear, your toothbrush, or I.D. Sometimes I travel and want to be off the grid and disconnect. Getting to that off-grid location or needing to charge camera batteries can still require some tech gadgets. With that said, you might want to consider leaving room for some tech gadgets that will no doubt come in handy.
I know first hand, after spending years of traveling without being equipped, I’ve come to a clear conclusion that having the best tech travel gadgets and accessories has to be a priority if you want to travel smart. These gadgets will make traveling a lot easier and enjoyable. I’m sure you won’t leave home without them.

Portable Charger
I’m surprised by how many people travel without a portable charger. We all live and die by our phones. Their use is high while traveling since they hold our reservations, itineraries, tickets, entertainment, and credit cards. So, traveling without being connected to wifi and most likely not always having excellent service can quickly drain your battery. Using GPS can also drain your battery quickly, so it’s a good idea to carry at least one battery pack when you’re on the road. I bring two with me. I love the gorgeous shade of rose gold on this one. It charges multiple phones/devices at once, which constantly comes in handy since I’m always traveling with my kids or hubby, who always forget their portable chargers.

So, imagine being on a long-haul flight close to a screaming baby! Or on a road trip with your kids in the back seat. If you’re going to be stuck on a plane or in the car for any amount of time, do yourself a huge sanity-saving favor, don’t settle for the cheap in-flight earbuds. GoPro Hero 9
I love my big DSLR camera, but it isn’t always ideal for traveling due to its size. It takes up quite a bit of space in my carry-on, and it can draw quite a bit of attention that isn’t always wanted.
This is exactly why I love having a small compact GoPro Hero 9 in my purse. It is easily ready to shoot 5k video or stills. It’s virtually indestructible, waterproof, and comes with so many attachments that allow ease of use in any scenario. It also has a built-in stabilizer to help control jerky movements and create smooth footage without having to pack a gimbal.
Travel Clothing Steamer
My biggest pet-peeve is stepping out in wrinkled clothes. There’s usually an iron available wherever I’m staying. Still, I hate ironing, and a lot of my dresses, tops, and clothes, in general, prefer a steamer, which is exactly why I now travel with this travel-size steamer.

Bluetooth Speaker
Sitting on the beach, a balcony, a park, watching a movie on your laptop, lounging by the pool, or getting ready, you need some jams. I got this Bose Bluetooth speaker for Christmas from my hubby because the one I had was on its last leg. I’m so happy he took note of my previous speaker’s condition because I LOVE this one. I’m always listening to music while I get ready and love bringing a Bluetooth speaker everywhere we go. Music speaks to my soul and sets the tone for everything. This 360-degree speaker has incredible sound quality a whole lotta bass.
Car Charger/Adapter
When I travel and rent a car, I always find it useful to bring a car charger/adapter along with us. This allows us to be able to recharge phones or GoPros while we’re on the go. With four kids, someone always needs to charge their phone or tablet. It’s beneficial when we’re in an unfamiliar area and using our phones to navigate and listen to music in the car.
iPhone Tripod
The GorillaPod and the ATUMTEK Bluetooth Selfie Stick are two of the best things we’ve ever bought and brought with us on trips. We will never again have pictures with an arm in trying to take a selfie. We’ve stepped up our game. Not only can both of these hold your cell phone, but they can also hold your GoPro Hero 9.
